A Buzzing Time is a 3D single-player exploration game where the player crash lands on a planet, trying to find their way out. This project had a focus on discovery and therefore the level was built to invoke that type of engagement.

This is an independent project developed in Unity 3D.



Roles

 

Level Design

  • Planned the layout on paper and used Maya to create the level.

  • Incorporated spacial archetypes, compositional techniques and lighting to help guide the player.

  • Established a production plan to ensure due dates were met and made cuts accordingly.

  • Iterated the design of the level through playtesting during the development of the project.
