Since an operator can have more than one primary weapon and secondary weapon, there needed to be a way for the player to see and select them.

Therefore, left clicking on the weapon slot makes the other primary weapon option appear, in which the player can right click to select it as their current weapon.

After right clicking their option, the selected weapon will be equipped, while the other one will be hidden from view.
