A buzzing time

A Buzzing Time is a 3D single-player fantasy game where you play as a bee. For this game, I wanted to engage the player in a fantasy where they could experience things that would not be feasible in the real world. And that was the fantasy of being a bee.
The goal of the game is to collect enough pollen before the time runs out, while avoiding the rain that encompasses the garden.
This is an independent project developed in Unity 3D.
Roles
Level Design
Created a closed space that resembled a garden for the player to explore.
Incorporated areas for cover so the player could hide from the rain.
Strategically placed pickups in areas to promote movement and exploration.
ux dESIGN
Researched different games and real life references to mimic the movement of a bee.
Playtested to identify what players found troublesome with their experience.
Compiled survey data to adjust systems in the game.
systems design
Balanced the amount of pollen the player gains to control pacing and difficulty.
Implemented a character controller inspired from other games.
Created a rain hazard that affects the player if they are inside it.
